Khalid Saeed to speak at Woodland Presbyterian Church
Khalid Saeed, Director Public Relations of the Islamic Center of Woodland and member of 'Woodland Ecumenical Minister' group has been invited by Woodland Presbyterian Church to speak to their Bible Study group about Islam. His brief on Islam will be followed by a question answer session on Islam.
Khalid will be speaking to the class on Tuesday November 16th, 2010 at 7:00 PM.
Below is the invitation from Rev. Kathy McIntosh Smith of Woodland Presbyterian Church:
Hi Khalid,
This fall at Woodland Presbyterian we have a small study group on Islam. We are all embarrassingly ignorant, but very eager to learn how to be better and more knowledgeable friends to our Muslim neighbors in these difficult times.
We were wondering if you or someone you know would be willing to come and have casual conversation with us about your faith and life on Tuesday evening, November 16th, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
We are a small group, only about 12 people. We will have finished our study book by then, and at least know what questions to ask. The class requested that they would also love to chat with a woman, who might have a different perspective, if one might be willing to come. Of course we would love to welcome you, but I know how busy you are, so if you know other people who might come, I trust you and your ideas and suggestions completely.
Please get back to me at your convenience, Khalid, and many thanks for all you do for peace and friendship in our community. You are a joy.
Thanks,
Rev. Kathy McIntosh-Smith Woodland Presbyterian Church
