Khalid Saeed, National President of American Muslim Voice (AMP) gave invocation. Rev. Ardith Allread gave Benediction.
Rev. Wendy Watson read Thanksgiving Proclamation.
Woodland Ecumenical Ministries said that the Service was a celebration of our community and its diversity. “Although most of us are Christian, not all of us are. In the spirit of faithful people of many different faiths and in community with one another, we have tried to provide an opportunity to be thankful together.”
Here is text of Khalid Saeed’s invocation: (Khalid Saeed gives invocation. Reverend Ardith Allread is seen at left.)
In the name of God , Almighty Creator , --- most merciful, most gracious.
Praise to You, who is hidden and yet manifest Praise to Your glory, might, power and dominion, …. to whom belong all majesty and greatness, who is the source of all things.
Praise to You, King of kings, ruler of all creation, who controls all things and has power over all things.
You who was from the beginning and are without end, for ever and for ever , who is eternal above all, ,,,, beyond all.
Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness.
Have mercy on us. You are our Patron, Supporter and Protector.
God! Ruler over angels and mankind……… we praise and give thanks to thee for thy bountiful providence, and we give thanks for divine care & direction. “Ameen”
