Over 50 children are attending the Sunday School. The mosque holds bi-monthly program family potluck dinner at the mosque where children attend with their parents. At these programs, the students prepare assigned topic and make presentations in front of their proud parents to exhibit their acquired knowledge.
On Sunday April 3, 2011, the assignment was to memorize between 4 to 11 Surah's and recite one of the memorized surah before the gathering. It is hard enough to give presentations in front of a group of people, however, the talented children have already overcome that.
In the next month's program the children are assigned to deliver speeches from what they have been learning from their workbook about being a Muslim .
At the Sunday April 3, 2011 program all 50 students were given gift cards in the amounts of $5 to $10 depending on the performance in their home work / workbooks.
CONGRATULATIONS to the following five students who got top three positions.
